Mill Goes Mentally Minty for Mentos
19th April 2004 - Brian Beletic has added cheese to mints in his ‘screwball’ spot for Mentos. “Truck Pull” is executed in a classically cheesy 1980’s WWF wrestling stylee? complete with hilariously-dated graphics worthy of an early-edition Top of the Pops.
In addition to building these passé graphics in Flame, The Mill provided sparklingly strong 3D teeth (for the sheep who’s dentures are so Mentos-strong, they’re capable of pulling a heavy-goods truck). The ad’s seamless sheep-pulling-truck sequence was ‘animated’ using combined live-action plates. The Mill also composited stadium shots to create an atmospheric background and added a few touches like enhanced fireworks and a starting line.
